CSW - Post Storm information, some shipping delays

An update on CSW post-deluge:

I'm happy to write that ClassicSelect World was spared any serious damage during last week's flooding rains from the remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm/Tropical Depression Ida. Our area was very hard hit, and we did get some water damage. But only 2 boxes of CDs were lost.

Like others in the area however, there are significant issues that are still impacting our business. For our focus on our business, it has meant that orders that left our warehouse on September 1 - 3, 2021 have been delayed. A large local postal facility, located in Kearny, NJ, was damaged during the storm. For the most part, our mail no longer is sorted at the Kearny location, but the temporary closure means that the post office locations that do most of our sorting are taking up the slack and are slowed down.

We did two major shipments last week - on August 30th and September 1st. Both of these shipments contained items from the long delayed EuroArts DVD shipment, which arrived at our location on the morning of August 30th.
The packages mailed on August 30th have begun reaching our customers, with most of the items mailed on that day having reached their destination by today. However, items mailed on the afternoon of September 1st were impacted. A few orders from the September 1st shipment are starting to appear on the USPS tracking site.

However, to add more information, a trend has started which is very frustrating for those of you who track your shipments using the USPS information we are given and that we share with you via automated email.
For the past two weeks, it seems as if the USPS drop off center we use in Montclair, NJ has not been scanning the items when they arrive at the post office. So it appears as if the items are NOT in the USPS system.
For example, you get this for most of the items shipped on September 1 - which arrived at the post office at 2:30 PM on September 1:

Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item

September 3, 2021

What happens next is that the item will remain in limbo until it arrives at the local post office near you, and the tracking changes to this:

September 7, 2021, 6:38 am
Arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility
PITTSBURGH PA NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER
Your item arrived at our PITTSBURGH PA NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER destination facility on September 7, 2021 at 6:38 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

August 30, 2021
Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item

This would give one the impression that we delivered the item directly to Pittsburgh, which is definitely not the case.

THIS is what the proper USPS tracking should look like - the package is scanned when it arrives at the local post office and then works through the local system.

August 31, 2021, 8:08 am
Departed USPS Regional Facility
NEWARK NJ DISTRIBUTION CENTER

August 30, 2021, 8:46 pm
Arrived at USPS Regional Origin Facility
NEWARK NJ DISTRIBUTION CENTER

August 30, 2021, 7:31 pm
Accepted at USPS Origin Facility
GLEN RIDGE, NJ 07028

So this is a simple way of continuing an apology. These long delayed orders ARE in fact on their way to you - there are NO orders of EuroArts DVDs placed in July or August that are still in our building.
And I don't bash the USPS often - without them, CSW couldn't exist. But in this case, with many of you writing and waiting for these DVDs, I want you to know we have put all of them in boxes and envelopes and they are on their way to you.
