The title says it all: this unique box of “American Folk” presents the debut albums by Bob Dylan and Peter, Paul & Mary, next to the first four LPs by Folk superstar Joan Baez, two LPs by the American Folkmusic-master Burl Ives, four LPs by the worldfamous Kingston Trio, as well as the first four albums by the Brothers Four. These are the trailblazers for a modern generation of Folk artists, and they compete here with these emerging newcomers. Needless to say, this box acts as a treasure trove of Evergreens: „Tom Dooley“, „Greenfields“, „Santiano“, „House Of The Rising Sun“, „Lemon Tree“, „Where Have All The Flowers Gone“, or countrified songs like „Home On The Range“, „I Walk The Line“, „Wildwood Flower“, and „Cowboy‘s Dream“. A side-note: In case you are missing Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger, look no further than the 10-CD-boxes we have previously dedicated to these two legends: Woody Guthrie - America‘s Folk Idol No. 1 and Pete Seeger - America‘s Political Storyteller are still available in stores.
