COLOGNE MUSIC TRIENNALE - SOUND OF THE 20TH CENTURY (MESSIAEN; HENZE; HOLT) - SIMON RATTLE, CITY OF BIRMINGHAM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

This concert, staged to celebrate the City of Cologne in honor of the Triennale, presents Simon Rattle leading the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra as they perform a program of works by three noted 20th century composers. Selections include Oliver Messiaen's Eclairs sur l'Au-dela, Hans Werner Henze's A Tempest (Rounds for the Orchestra), and Sunrise Yellow Noise by Simon Holt, featuring guest vocalist Lisa Milne.
