10 CD box set of ten original albums, by one of the most important violinists of the 20th century, Arthur Grumiaux. These albums were made between 1956 and 1961 and include legendary recordings such as a complete cycle of Beethoven's violin sonatas with Clara Haskill, the complete solo sonatas and partitas by Bach and Mozart Sonatas No. 40 and 42. Plus works by Brahms, Mozart, Lalo, Ravel and Chausson. As a bonus there is Grumiaux performing Stravinsky's D-major violin concerto under the direction of Ferenc Fricsay.
