AVID Pop presents the latest release in our Five Classic Album series with a remastered 2CD release from Dion And The Belmonts & Dion, complete with original artwork, liner notes and personnel details.
“Dion And The Belmonts: Presenting Dion & The Belmonts”; “Dion And The Belmonts: Wish Upon A Star With Dion & The Belmonts”; “Dion: Runaround Sue”; “Dion: Alone With Dion” and “Dion: Lovers Who Wander”.
Always happy to present an artist who is actually still with us and in fact is also still recording some very fine blues albums to this day! Dion DiMucci, better known as Dion was born in New York in 1939 and would find early fame with his doo wop/r&b/pop band Dion & The Belmonts featured here with two albums on our classic 2CD set. Across his band and solo careers during the early fifties and sixties Dion had almost 40 hits, and we are glad to say they are all featured here. From teen idol to folk singer to singer songwriter to seasoned blues perfomer, Dion has had a hell of a musical life. And long may he continue. As with all AVID releases, we hope you enjoy this classic set and check out our extensive catalogue for more great music across jazz and many other musical genres.
